North Korea tests missile that could threaten Los Angeles, Chicago or New York | KNO

South Korea and the Pentagon say that the new ICBM North Korea launched Friday landed in the sea in Japan’s economic exclusive zone, and flew higher and longer than the first one in early July.

It had a range of about 10,000km, far enough to strike the west coast of America and even further in land, possibly Chicago.

The missile stayed aloft for about 45 minutes, 6 minutes longer than the first ICBM and reached an altitude of 3,000km, 200km higher than the previous test.

Friday, the US Senate voted for sanctions against North Korea as well as Iran and Russia.
